Melissa Nesbitt

As Pathway Coach Manager at The Kalamazoo Promise, Melissa’s leads a team of

Pathway Coaches that assist high school seniors with making a smooth and

comfortable transition from high school into post-secondary education and help

them to discover their academic and career interests. She is passionate about

education and serving her students in all capacities to ensure that they are prepared

at the next level.Born and raised in Kalamazoo and a recipient of The Promise, she is forever grateful for the opportunities that the scholarship has awarded her. Upon earning her degree

from Michigan State University, she returned to Kalamazoo and worked as a business

banker before joining the Promise Team five years ago. She is currently pursuing her

Masters in Educational Leadership at Western Michigan University.
