Dr. Michelle Cyrus

Dr. Michelle Cyrus has worked with all student populations in higher education for over twenty-three years. She is the Director of Adult College Completion at Detroit Regional Chamber. Michelle works to support adult learners in the Detroit Metro Area interested in attending college. She is a strong proponent of education, believing education is the great equalizer in shifting one’s economic and social trajectory by growing knowledge and wealth.

Before joining the Chamber, Michelle was the Assistant Director for Equity and Outreach at

Central Washington University. She was committed to advocating for the advancement of

diversity and was a champion who helped foster a positive and inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students. Michelle was committed to educating, empowering, and engaging adult learners, creating a holistic learning environment by enhancing programs and services. She has a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Higher Education and is a U.S. Army veteran.
