Chuck Wilbur

Chuck Wilbur has been the Executive Director of the Michigan Promise Zones Association since the organization’s founding in 2016. Serving as a Senior Advisor to Governor Jennifer Granholm, Chuck helped develop the legislation enacted in 2008 that has enabled the formation of 13 Promise Zones in Michigan. Each Zone has created and sustained a place-based scholarship program including the host of PromiseNet 23, the Detroit Promise. Prior to joining the Granholm Administration, Chuck served Michigan Senator Carl Levin as State Director and Chief of Staff. He holds bachelor's and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan and is a resident of Ann Arbor.
